We support clients in managing complex projects with financial precision and strategic insight. Role Overview As a Project Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of client and internal projects. You will ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance with financial controls. This role is critical in supporting project delivery teams with real-time financial insights and ensuring the financial success of each engagement. Key Responsibilities Monitor and manage project budgets, forecasts, and actuals. Prepare financial reports and dashboards for project stakeholders. Track project costs, revenue recognition, and profitability. Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal financial policies. Collaborate with project managers to align financial planning with project milestones. Perform variance analysis and recommend corrective actions. Support billing, invoicing, and cash flow tracking for projects. Maintain accurate records of project-related financial transactions. Assist in financial audits and internal reviews related to project accounting. What We Are Looking For Are you detail-oriented, analytical, in dynamic project environments? Do you enjoy working cross-functionally and supporting teams to deliver successful outcomes? If so, this role is for you! We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Heres what were looking for in our ideal candidate: ACA, ACC CIMA qualified or equivalent. Minimum 35 years of experience in project accounting or financial management. Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365) is highly desirable. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Skills and Expertise Budgeting and forecasting Financial reporting and analysis Project cost control and variance analysis ERP and financial systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365) Cash flow and revenue tracking Strong Excel and data visualization skills Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset Education & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualification (fully qualified). Additional certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus. Year 3: Manage financials for multiple projects and support advisory teams. Year 4: Lead financial planning for strategic projects and mentor junior staff. Year 5: Progress to Senior Project Accountant or Finance Business Partner.
