Our client, a growing middle market sized company in the Metro Detroit area, is seeking a Project Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in JOB COST AND PROJECT experience at a middle market sized company.

RESPONSIBILITIES of the Project Accountant

• Project Accountant will have lead role in month end close, monthly financial statement analysis/preparation, and operations reporting
• Project Accountant will prepare Annual budget and update forecasts on a monthly basis or as needed
• Work closely with Business Unit team to identify/address risks and opportunities
• Maintain the analysis on capital project spending compared to plan
• Project Accountant will support Sales team on new business quoting/tracking/updating.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE of the Project Accountant:

• 3+ years of finance experience in a mid-sized or large company
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field
• Expert in Excel knowledge, Pivot Tables, Vlookup and SUMIF formulas
• Working knowledge of large ERP system
