We are seeking a Project Coordinator to join our team!

 

ANTICIPATED START DATE: Immediate Hire

POSITION TYPE: Full-Time

LOCATION: Office-based position in West End, NC

SALARY: Starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education and experience

 

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Project Coordinator plays a critical role in the success of our business, real estate, development, and construction projects. You’ll be responsible for the full lifecycle – drafting permit applications, soliciting bids, preparing contracts for subcontractors and vendors, compiling weekly job site updates for internal and external stakeholders, compiling project close out documentation and assisting Project Managers with any administrative duties as may be necessary. Qualified candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced office environment, under deadlines and with others.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Schedule and attend plan review and internal pre-construction meetings.
  • Apply for necessary permits and approvals.
  • Solicit bids from Subcontractors and Vendors.
  • Prepare contracts for Subcontractors and Vendors.
  • Start/Transfer/Terminate Insurance Policies and Utilities.
  • Prepare stormwater and construction packages for use on construction sites.
  • Compile weekly job site updates and distribute to our companies’ clients.
  • Meet weekly with the Project Management Team to discuss project status and any potential impacts to project pipelines.
  • Close out Project once construction is complete with client’s preferred system.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in an administrative, project coordination, or construction office support role.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to handle confidential information appropriately.

 

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Previous experience in permitting, contracting and construction processes.
  • Familiarity with construction terminology, processes, project lifecycles, contracting and project management tools.
  • Experience preparing reports, tracking deadlines, and coordinating documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders and closeout materials.
  • Strong time-management and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with field staff, subcontractors, vendors and stakeholders.
