Job Title: Project Engineer / Civil Designer Location: Fairhope, Alabama Job Type: Full-Time Department: Civil Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our dynamic civil engineering team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of industry experience, strong technical skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and a working knowledge of stormwater analysis and design. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to grow professionally in a collaborative and supportive environment.Key Responsibilities:Assist with the preparation of engineering design plans and reports for civil infrastructure and land development projects.Perform stormwater modeling and analysis using industry-standard tools and methods.Prepare technical drawings and details using AutoCAD Civil 3D.Conduct site investigations and collect data to support design efforts.Coordinate with senior engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver high-quality work on schedule.Support the preparation of permit applications and construction documents.Maintain organized project documentation and follow company procedures.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the engineering industry.Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater analysis/design tools.Solid understanding of civil engineering principles and design practices.Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with software such as HydroCAD, Hydrology Studio, StormCAD, Hydraflow, HEC-RAS, or SWMM.Familiarity with local, state, and federal design standards and permitting processes.What We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits packageProfessional development and training opportunitiesSupportive and inclusive team environmentOpportunities for advancement and career growth
