We have been focusing solely on Water and Wastewater Treatment plants for the past 35+ years of the 70 years in business in the TX market.Position SummaryThe Project Engineer – HVAC Mechanical supports the execution and delivery of HVAC mechanical projects by assisting in design coordination, procurement, submittal reviews, engineering, estimating, and quality assurance. The role serves as a technical resource and ensures engineering accuracy, compliance with project specifications, and collaboration across disciplines to achieve successful project outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Technical Coordination - Assist in reviewing HVAC drawings, submittals, and technical specifications. - Coordinate with design engineers and consultants to resolve design issues and ensure constructability. - Support value engineering and constructability reviews.Estimating & Pre-Construction Support - Prepare quantity take-offs and assist in developing project estimates and bid packages. - Solicit vendor and subcontractor quotes and compile pricing for review. - Participate in bid analysis and pre-construction planning.Project Execution Support - Assist Project Managers with schedule updates, procurement tracking, and logistics planning. - Review RFIs, submittals, and change orders for accuracy and technical completeness. Documentation & Reporting - Maintain accurate project documentation, logs, and records. - Generate progress reports and assist with project close-out documentation. - Support meetings with clients, engineering firms and subcontractors.- Provide technical guidance to field personnel and resolve site-related issues in collaboration with the PM.QualificationsEducation & Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. - 5+ years of experience in HVAC construction or engineering, preferably with exposure to estimating and project execution.Skills & Competencies - Understanding of HVAC systems, blueprints, and construction documentation. - Proficient in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and estimating tools such as Trimble or QuoteSoft. - Strong organizational and communication skills. - Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Certifications (Preferred) - EIT (Engineer in Training) - OSHA 30-Hour Certification
