The Project Engineer plays a pivotal role in managing and executing engineering projects. This position involves overseeing various aspects of project development, from conception to completion, ensuring that all projects meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The Project Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, quality, management, and the engineering regional to achieve project objectives and contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the site. Key responsibilities include: Support the Technical Manager in the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering and CAPEX projects . Lead and develop detailed engineering designs , including diagrams, calculations, specifications, process flows, P&IDs, and technical drawings. Ensure compliance with internal engineering standards, guidelines, and applicable local and global regulations. Act as Construction Manager for assigned projects , including equipment selection, procurement support, and contractor coordination. Manage and execute CAPEX projects typically ranging from USD 1M to 2M, ensuring scope, cost, and schedule control. Develop and maintain complete project documentation , including drawings, manuals, reports, and technical files. Collaborate with internal teams and external engineering firms, consultants, and vendors as required. Develop project plans , timelines, budgets, and follow up on deliverables to ensure timely execution. Implement and ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct risk assessments, identify potential issues, and implement mitigation actions to ensure safe project execution. Monitor project progress, track milestones, and provide regular status updates to the Engineering and Technical Manager. Troubleshoot technical and execution issues during project implementation, applying strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Work independently with a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented approach, maintaining strong communication with stakeholders. About you: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required ; Master’s degree preferred (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field). 3 + years of relevant experience in engineering design and/or project management within manufacturing or process industry environments; food industry experience is preferred. Strong engineering mindset with excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills. Proven ability to work independently with a structured, organized, and proactive approach. Solid technical understanding of core manufacturing and process engineering systems. Proficiency in 2D CAD tools and working knowledge of 3D CAD software. Experience using MS Office Suite, SAP, and engineering or project management tools; experience with AutoCAD and CMMS (e.g., Maximo) is a plus. Demonstrated project management experience, including leadership of cross-functional teams and coordination of multiple stakeholders. Background or hands‑on experience in process automation is highly desirable. Basic accounting and budgeting knowledge, including business cases and feasibility studies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels. Strong time‑management skills, with the ability to multitask and deliver results under tight deadlines.
