Job Details

We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Permanent Project Engineer to join our growing team. This role is critical to our organization as you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing construction projects to ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. You will be working closely with project managers, architects, and other team members to ensure the successful execution of construction projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, with a specific focus on construction. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, including proficiency in CAD. You will be expected to utilize this knowledge to design and execute complex construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Utilize Trimble & CAD to design and implement construction plans, taking into account the unique needs and constraints of each project.
  • Work closely with project managers, architects, and other team members to ensure the successful execution of each project.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure the construction work is in line with the project plans and specifications.
  • Prepare and present project updates and progress reports to stakeholders, including clients, project managers, and team members.
  • Identify and resolve any potential issues or delays that may impact the project timeline or budget.
  • Ensure all construction work adheres to local and national building codes and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to source and manage materials and equipment needed for each project.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in construction project engineering or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Trimble is REQUIRED.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve potential issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Ability to work well in a team, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to ensure all work is completed to a high standard.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
