The Project Engineer (PE) role is responsible for leadership in project maturation and execution throughout engineering, design, fabrication, and construction. The PE is the primary technical contact for internal and external stakeholders throughout project execution and is a critical asset to ABG and our clientele. Technical aptitude coupled with exceptional communication skills are essential characteristics for a qualified candidate.

Essential Functions:
- Own and lead all aspects of the project design phase responsible for efficient deployment of ABG structural solutions.
- Review/Interpret Structural/Arch drawing sets, client specifications and building codes to determine project scope, identify/mitigate risk, and develop project action plans.
- Collaborate with Structural engineers and designers to facilitate creation of project layouts, conceptual models and interpret/implement structural designs.
- Oversee the development of client submittal drawings, 3D models, fabrication/assembly drawings, installation drawings and bill of materials and is responsible for quality, timeliness, final review, and approval of all engineering deliverables.
- Represent ABG in BIM coordination meetings.
- Develop meeting minutes for internal/external distribution.
- Demonstrate exceptional verbal / written communication and leadership skills to consult / collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Project engineering support/leadership to organize project execution.
- Support & collaborate with project management, business development, estimating and fabrication.
- Work in a multi-disciplinary function to gain a broad understanding of Advantic business units and assist in cross departmental information flow.
- Site walks when necessary to collect/document field measurements and assess field conditions.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements
- The candidate for this job must possess a four-year college degree in a related academic area such as Civil, Architectural or Mechanical Engineering.
- In addition, the position requires a minimum of 4 years of related experience working as an engineer, project management or similar role
- BIM Coordination/Navisworks/Revit/AutoCad experience is preferred
- Structural Analysis and/or Construction experience is preferred
- Status as a licensed Professional Engineer is preferred
