Commercial Real Estate firm located in Syosset, New York has an immediate need for an experienced Project Engineer TheProject Engineerwill support project management throughout all phases of construction. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively. The Project Engineer will ensure project documentation processes are maintained accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Assist in day-to-day project coordination and execution within the Construction Department. Receive, log, and track building permit applications, construction plans, and related documentation. Maintain digital and physical records of permits, inspections, and plan review files in accordance with departmental procedures. Review project drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and compliance with requirements. Track Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, change orders, and other project documentation. Assembles materials and forms for distribution as directed. Prepares routine reports or assists in the preparation of reports by gathering data, tabulating results, and/or preparing simple charts. Maintains records and files. Participate in project meetings and prepare reports summarizing progress and issues. Collaborate with General Contractors for closeout documents – as-builts, warrantees, guarantees. Other tasks as assigned Requirements 2–5 years of relevant experience in construction engineering or project management. Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Office Suite, MS Project). Understanding of construction drawings, codes, and industry standards. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively both in the office and on job sites.
