Job Description
About TDI Packsys
TDI Packsys is a fast-growing provider of inspection systems and packaging automation solutions serving the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries. Our technologies include X-ray inspection systems, metal detectors, checkweighers, and fully integrated automation solutions.
We’re building a team that values ownership, problem-solving, and collaboration—and we’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us.
The Opportunity
This is a Project Engineer role designed for someone ready to step into real project ownership—not just support work.
You’ll be involved across the full project lifecycle, working alongside engineering, operations, suppliers, and customers. If you’re looking for a role where you can learn fast, contribute meaningfully, and grow into larger responsibility, this is it.
What You’ll Do
- Support planning, execution, and tracking of automation and inspection system projects
- Assist with technical design, documentation, and implementation
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of components
- Support purchase orders and project budgets alignment
- Help manage Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
- Partner with sales on technical inquiries, proposals, and customer communication
- Participate in project meetings and provide status updates
- Identify risks early and support mitigation efforts
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
- Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required)
- 0–5 years of experience (internships/co-ops count)
- Exposure to mechanical, electrical, or automation systems
- Experience with CAD or engineering software
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Clear communication skills (you’ll work across teams and with customers)
- High attention to detail and follow-through
Bonus if you have:
- Experience with industrial equipment or manufacturing environments
- Exposure to customer-facing or sales support activities
Why This Role Stands Out
- Real project exposure early in your career
- Cross-functional experience (engineering, operations, customer-facing)
- Clear path for growth as we scale
- Hands-on work—not just behind a desk
Compensation & Benefits
- $85,000–$95,000 salary
- Health, dental, and vision
- Company-paid life and disability insurance
- 401(k) with match (after 1 year)
- PTO + paid holidays
- Company credit card for travel expenses
- Company phone + laptop
- All tools/equipment provided
Who Thrives Here
Someone who:
- Takes ownership without needing constant direction
- Wants to learn quickly and grow into bigger roles
- Is comfortable in a dynamic, evolving environment
- Balances technical thinking with practical execution
