Confidentiality- Company, project, and task information must be kept confidential within company, within project team. Estimate commercial/industrial electrical projects within the McHenry, Lake, and Cook County areas. Provide accurate, timely and complete estimates and change order quotations. Coordinate total estimating effort relevant to particular bid or project. Provide complete estimating input on projects with management and estimating team when submitting bids. Create and submit RFI's when needed and ensuring open issues and unclear scope items are clarified. Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc., to determine the scope of work and required contents of project estimate. Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work. Ascertain any risks related to the estimate in order to guarantee that provisions are made for those risks. Ensure that estimates are complete, well-organized and ready for review before the given deadline. Organize and maintain project files. Project Management Coordinate and communicate between foreman, sub-contractors, vendors, general contractor, construction manager, architect/engineer, and at times direct with owner. Stay up to date with project documents and changes. Coordinate and track project changes. Document distribution to vendors – Drawings, specifications, etc…. both during bidding as well as during project as needed. Attend project meetings. Create and submit RFI's when clarifications are needed. Draft project change orders. After project is won, fine tune vendor and subcontractor scope and quotes and buy-out packages accordingly. Review buy-out vs buy-out goals prior to issuing subcontracts or purchase orders. Schedule and draft equipment releases based on project schedule. Track equipment deliveries to ensure deliveries meet project schedule. Submit and track project submittals and closeouts. Execute project closeout, including submitting asbuilts, O&M's and coordinate owners training. Orchestrate above for multiple projects on going at the same time. Candidate Requirements Office confidentiality held in highest regard. Able to assemble a complete and accurate bid from start to finish in a timely, organized and accurate manner. Valid Driver's License with own vehicle and willing to frequently visit jobsites. Strong knowledge and understanding of commercial electrical construction and estimating – Office experience. Organized Computer proficient in general working with various different on-line services. Able to Multi-Task Good communication. Able to communicate technical information. Able to work independently within team and follow task through on his/her own. Good appearance and positive personality Participate in educational opportunities with office and field staff, ie: estimating software, estimating practices, safety classes, etc….
