Job Title: Project Estimator

Job Description:

• Review project specifications, drawings, and requirements to develop accurate cost estimates.

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.

• Analyze project scope, identify risks, and provide cost-effective solutions.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and vendors to collect relevant data.

• Request and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.

• Develop and maintain cost databases, pricing records, and historical cost information.

• Prepare bid proposals, budgets, and cost reports.

• Assist in value engineering and cost optimization efforts.

• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client discussions as necessary.

• Support project scheduling by providing time and resource estimates.

• Participate in contract negotiation and clarification of scope.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred).

• 2 5 years of experience as a Project Estimator in construction, manufacturing, engineering, or a related industry.

• Strong proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, RSMeans, ProEst, PlanSwift, etc.).

• Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost factors.

• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in commercial, industrial, or residential project estimating.

• Knowledge of project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).

• Experience with procurement, subcontractor coordination, or contract administration.

• Professional certifications (e.g., AACE, ASPE) are a plus.
