ABOUT THE FIRM

A leading construction firm specializing in Heavy/Civil & Utility Infrastructure projects. The firm is committed to delivering high-quality construction services and is known for its competitive bidding and project management excellence throughout the New England area.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking motivated individuals with experience in Heavy/Civil & Utility Infrastructure construction estimating and project management. The role involves preparing bids, managing projects, and supporting the management team to secure and execute competitive bidding opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the Management Team to prepare bids for Municipal, State, and Federal clients.
  • Review bid documents to determine the scope of work.
  • Procure subcontractor/supplier quotes and perform scope development and pricing comparisons.
  • Conduct detailed quantity take offs using project plans and documents.
  • Determine means/methods, crews, and productions for pricing.
  • Utilize take off and bidding software effectively.
  • Participate and present during estimate review meetings.
  • Attend pre-bid, on-site meetings or visit potential job sites.
  • Visit active projects to report on production or status.
  • Assist the Management Team with project startup and provide project management and engineering support.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent field experience.
  • 5 years of estimating or 10 years of field experience in heavy civil & utility infrastructure construction.
  • Excellent computer skills: experience with B2W Software preferred but not required.
  • Ability to interpret plans and specifications.
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Outlook suite of programs.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, prioritization, and critical thinking.
  • Capable of working individually or as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
