For nearly 85 years, we’ve designed, built and maintained amphibious ships, destroyers, and cutters for the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Coast Guard. The largest supplier of U.S. Navy surface combatants, we’re simultaneously building four classes of ships and have pioneered the development and production of technologically advanced, highly capable ships for the surface Navy fleet for decades. The Role Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. Responsible for tracking and maintaining the FF(X) Class Standard Equipment configuration control of the program. Develop configuration & management plans and change processes for the FF(X) program as it relates to equipment configuration. Liaisons between SupShip GulfCoast, PMS 410 and the functional organizations. Coordinate activities, provide communication to all company departments, and construct special projects as necessary. Develop tracking mechanisms to assess project costs, schedule, health and risks. Coordinate and track actions and commitments to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives. Work closely with supply chain on supplier progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers and company departments. Responsible to present the program status to internal and Navy leadership. Position requires coordination of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly report. Responsible for developing contract deliverables for this area of responsibility. Must Have 10 Years with Bachelor's Degree in related field; 8 years of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree: OR HS diploma with 18 years years of experience. Nice to Have Preferred financial background and/or configuration management background. Seeking candidate who has change management experience and has strong organizational / data analysis skills. Strong computer skills – Strong Excel and Powerpoint experience is a must in order to assemble reports and presentations for team and senior/executive leadership.
