Job Summary:

The Project Management Intern will play a pivotal role in supporting various aspects of project management, including planning, coordination, and communication. This position provides exposure to the entire project lifecycle in the context of precast concrete production.

Essential Functions: * Safety. Protect friends and family. At Peckham, safety is our priority. Willingness to learn and follow all safety guidelines across our different lines of business and even in corporate offices.
  • Transparency and learning. Assist Project Managers in planning and coordinating precast concrete projects while contributing to project scheduling, tracking, and progress reporting.
  • Focused. Assist in preparing project documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes, and status reports. Maintain organized project files and documentation archives.
  • Dedication. Support the implementation of quality control procedures in precast concrete production. Assist in monitoring and ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications.
  • Committed to serve. Work closely with Project Managers to monitor project timelines and identify potential risks. Contribute to the identification of delays and assist in developing strategies to address them
  • Respect and engage. Facilitate effective communication between different departments and project stakeholders.
Requirements, Education and Experience:
1. Excellent Attendance and Punctuality. The program is scheduled to run ten weeks, Monday, June 3, 2024, through Friday, August 9, 2024. We may customize the dates according to your and/or your schools schedule. You will be responsible for tracking your time using an automated company timecard.
2. You are responsible for your own housing and reliable transportation.
3. Strict adherence to all safety protocol, OSHA safety rules and regulations procedures required.
4. Current enrollment at an accredited college or university with a 3.0 or higher GPA pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
5. Successful submission of our online application by Monday, May 6, 2024, and:
  • a cover letter or paragraph stating your major and what intrigues you about it.
  • a resume including your LinkedIn profile, if you have one.
  • one written recommendation (e-mail ok) from a current or previous employer, teacher, or professor
6. Proficient written and verbal English communication skills
7. Legal right to work in the U. S.

Work environment is dependent upon internship placement and may operate in a professional office or physical work environment. The professional work environment is mostly sedentary, outside of travel.

Some internships may involve heavy work that includes heavy lifting, working near moving mechanical parts and loud equipment, the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time as well as lifting, pulling, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, walking, reaching, driving, and repetitive motion.
