Looking to gain real experience beyond the classroom? Watts Electric Company is offering Project Management internship opportunities for individuals interested in electrical construction and infrastructure projects across the Midwest.


Watts Electric Company provides electrical construction services for roadway infrastructure and utilities throughout the Midwest. Our work includes traffic signal systems, roadway and ornamental lighting, high mast towers, signage, airport and athletic field lighting, substations, fiber optics, and power line construction. We are committed to safety, quality workmanship, and developing the next generation of industry professionals.


As a Project Management Intern, youll gain hands-on experience that bridges the gap between the classroom and the field. Youll work alongside experienced Project Managers and Superintendents, assisting with project coordination, estimating, scheduling, material tracking, and field documentation. Youll also have opportunities to visit active jobsites to observe installations, support problem-solving efforts, and learn how large-scale electrical projects are planned and built from start to finish.


This internship offers exposure to both the office and field sides of construction management, helping you build a strong foundation in electrical systems, safety standards, and the full project lifecycle within a collaborative, people-first environment.


Required Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in a field closely related to electrical engineering or construction management.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills.
