Job Description

Job Function –

Serves as the bank-wide project manager for critical/key systems, process improvement, strategic initiatives and M&A. Serves as the bank wide liaison for operations related issue tracking and efficiency considerations. Acts as relationship manager for the bank’s core operating system.

Job Responsibilities –


Identifies project requirements by interviewing customers; analyzing operations; determining project scope; documenting results; preparing customer contracts. Develop project plans and templates for all internal projects including weekly reporting of milestones and constant reminders of items due on action lists.

Provides knowledgeable assistance and consultation regarding software system setup to departments and facilitates changes as needed. Acts as a co-owner for departmental software to provide guidance in initial setup and operations of the software.

Facilitates and leads meetings as assigned.

Gathers call/mail lists for the bank and serves as project coordinator for all strategic marketing efforts and other campaigns, collaborating with account managers as necessary.

Regularly meets with department managers and develops dialogues regarding current issues/inefficiencies, documenting them and implementing projects to address them.

Develops new and/or standardized processes and procedures for repeatable tasks throughout the bank.

Receives, process and notifies departments affected by FIS updates and schedules installation as needed.

Assists in Report writing and data analytics.

Assist in authoring new Policies for the bank as needed in the form of a mini project.

Describes requirements in a work-flowchart and diagram; studies system capabilities; analyzes alternative solutions; prepares system specifications; writes programs.

Monitors all Operation’s department’s budgets for variations and validation of expenses paid.

Organize past project decisions for reevaluation when needed.

Education and Related Experience –

  • 10+ years’ experience in a financial institution required.
  • 10+ years’ experience in project management preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

Skills and Abilities –

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior analytical skills required
  • Strong decision-making skills and sensitivity when dealing with confidential information.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Must possess knowledge of computers and computer operations MS Office software.
  • Must possess good organizational skills.
  • Must possess ability to perform detailed tasks with accuracy.
  • Must possess knowledge of standard office equipment including computer, ten key adding machine, typewriter, fax machine, scanner and copy machine.

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements –

  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to operate a keyboard if required performing the essential job functions.
  • Ability to read and interpret a document.
  • Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions.
  • Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 20 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department an “undue hardship” then the employee must be accommodated; hence, omitting lifting as a physical requirement.
