Project Manager – Automation Projects Asset Recruitment is proud to present this opportunity with our client, a leading global pharmaceutical company. They are seeking a for a Project Manager – Automation Projects to play a key role at their Bray site. Role Senior Project Manager with experience delivering end-to-end automation projects. Responsible for executing medium to large‑scale capital projects while ensuring alignment with capital, quality, and compliance requirements. Project scope includes upgrades to pharmaceutical equipment automation systems, OT and IT network connectivity, Active Directory integration, data transfer solutions, and related initiatives. Accountabilities Manage capital projects of varying complexity across organizational boundaries and is responsible for their successful delivery. Ensure projects are conducted at the highest quality, within time and budget, and that the risk level is managed per the company’s procedures and stakeholder expectations. Lead a cross functional team of internal and external specialists. Coordinate and oversee project execution related activities through the full life cycle, from initiation to handover. Responsible for meeting project scope requirements, schedule requirements, and costs. Ensure compliance with existing organization and industry standards (e.g. PMM, cGMP, GEP). Coordinate all stakeholders, facilitate problem solving sessions and/or other planning sessions and overall business strategy. Ensures readiness for inspections within area of responsibility, together with quality organizations. The projects to be executed are associated with legacy equipment automation upgrades for asset life extension. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or related technical field (Engineering degree preferred) Minimum 10-15 years’ experience in managing projects or programs through the full lifecycle, with total budgets up to €3M Experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industry and in a large company environment and working and communicating globally Hands‑on attitude (role will involve supervision of installation activities on the shop floor) Management of contractors & suppliers for site works Strong financial and business acumen and Knowledge of scheduling and cost estimation/controlling. Decision‑making, stakeholder management and strategic thinking skills High facilitation and presentation skillset Self‑motivated and capable of analyzing and solving complex problems.
