Project Manager | Service & Small Projects Project Managers for service & small projects at Mid‑City Electric provide leadership over electrical construction projects at some of the most sought‑after job sites in the central Ohio area. They are successful at delivering results on time and within budget. They work with a wide range of internal and external personnel, establishing strong professional relationships while maintaining high communication standards. This role will be responsible for the management of small commercial electrical projects as well as the electrical service needs of assigned customers. What You Will Be Doing: Project management of existing customers from a service standpoint. Overseeing all electrical work Quoting small projects as needed for customers. Pursuing new customers. Management of field crews. Client communication Keeping projects on budget/schedule. Coordination with customers, other trades and electricians on site—about 30% travel to jobsites located in/near Central Ohio Carry out and support the company’s core values of Exceptional Work Ethic, Always Doing the Right Thing, Customer Service Driven, and Treating Our People Like Family. Other duties as assigned to aid in company and professional success. Successful Project Managers Have Experience: Preparing bids and estimates Securing profitable work Maintaining strong, positive relationships Establishing project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards Maintaining high levels of communication with all parties involved in projects Preparing contracts, change orders, and purchase orders Requisitioning needed supplies and materials Maintaining safe job sites and encouraging safe work practices Key Experience Needed to Hit the Ground Running: Demonstrated experience in a project management role Proficiency with project management and estimating software and MS Office Suite Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or similar field What Would Really Make You Shine: LEED Certification Accubid experience Commercial electrical project management experience Self‑Driven and Proactive Excellent communication and organizational skills Prior electrical experience whether in the field or a management role Commercial, industrial, data center, hospital market experience.
