Fanning Howey creates learning environments throughout the country with our team of architects, engineers, interior designers, and planners. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Architecture team and help lead the delivery of high-quality, client-focused projects from concept through completion.
This role is ideal for a licensed (or licensure-track) architect who thrives at the intersection of leadership, client relationships, and project delivery. As a Project Manager, you will guide project teams, manage budgets and schedules, collaborate closely with consultants, and serve as a trusted partner to our clients, all while upholding firm-wide standards for quality, service, and profitability.

What You’ll Do
- Lead one or more projects through all phases of development, from planning and design through construction administration
- Manage project budgets, schedules, staffing plans, and consultant coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining clear and consistent communication
- Collaborate with Project Architects, Designers, Engineers, and consultants to ensure cohesive project delivery
- Participate in project pursuits, fee development, interviews, and proposal support
- Oversee construction administration activities and ensure proper documentation and quality control
- Utilize project management systems (such as Deltek Vantagepoint and Newforma) to track project performance
- Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, and leadership
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (Master’s degree preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of professional architectural experience with project management responsibility
- Experience managing projects through all phases
- Architectural licensure preferred (or ability to obtain licensure, if applicable)
- LEED or WELL credential a plus
- Experience in educational or institutional projects is preferred
