Project Manager – Civil Roadway, Bridge & Transportation Maintenance
Location: Fort Pierce, FL (Travel up to 10%)

Position Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee maintenance and repair operations for civil roadways, bridges, and transportation infrastructure in the Fort Pierce region and beyond. This role requires a hands-on leader with a blend of technical expertise, financial oversight, and people development skills. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing operational execution with strategic leadership to ensure projects meet performance, safety, and budgetary goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage roadway, bridge, and transportation asset maintenance projects across the Fort Pierce area and occasionally support projects in other states (approximately 10% travel).
- Oversee project budgets, cost controls, and forecasting to ensure profitability and efficiency.
- Direct daily field operations, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
- Train, mentor, and develop field crews to build a high-performing, safety-driven team.
- Collaborate with internal leadership, DOT representatives, and subcontractors to align on project goals and expectations.
- Prepare project documentation, reporting, and performance analyses for leadership review.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience managing civil infrastructure or transportation maintenance projects (roadways, bridges, or related assets).
- Strong financial acumen with proven experience managing project budgets and P&L.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and develop field teams.
- Deep understanding of DOT standards, public works contracts, and transportation asset management.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
