Base Salary: $110,000 to $120,000


Our client is a Syracuse-based manufacturer in a complex, technology-driven environment. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to drive execution across New Product Development and enterprise strategic initiatives. This role owns scope, schedule, budget, and governance and keeps cross-functional teams aligned, accountable, and on track.


What You Will Do

  • Lead end-to-end projects using a formal stage-gate or phase-gate methodology
  • Build and manage plans, schedules, budgets, cost tracking, risks and mitigations, and resource and dependency maps
  • Run bi-weekly Project Leadership Team meetings, document decisions, and drive follow-up actions
  • Deliver executive dashboards and gate review materials while enforcing governance, documentation standards, and change control
  • Serve as the coordination hub across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, IT, Finance, Quality, and Commercial teams and drive accountability without direct authority


New Product Development

  • Lead new product introduction from concept through commercialization
  • Own NPD gate criteria, readiness assessments, and go or no-go recommendations
  • Ensure alignment across design, manufacturability, cost targets, and launch timing
  • Track development cost versus budget, schedule adherence, resource utilization, and post-launch KPIs while improving NPD tools and processes


Enterprise Strategic Initiatives

  • Lead work tied to process standardization, digital transformation and IT implementations, supply chain and functional efficiency improvements, and organizational scalability
  • Translate strategy into measurable plans and roadmaps with functional leaders
  • Manage external vendors and consultants including SOW alignment, milestones and deliverables, budget and change orders, and performance against contractual commitments
  • Manage third-party risks and drive adoption, change management, stabilization, and embedment into standard operating processes


What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field
  • 5 to 10+ years of project management experience in manufacturing, industrial, or technology-driven environments, leading complex cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong stage-gate or phase-gate governance knowledge and proven schedule, budget, risk, and dependency management
  • Advanced skills with MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar tools
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification
  • Experience supporting ERP, MES, or enterprise IT implementations
  • New product introduction experience in regulated or complex manufacturing environments
  • Strong execution discipline, structured problem-solving, executive-level communication, and meeting facilitation skills
