Estimator / Project Manager Trueline’s client, a well‑established and growing paving and excavation company, is seeking a Estimator / Project Manager to join its operations team in Damariscotta, ME. This hybrid estimating and field leadership role offers the opportunity to lead project planning, bidding, budget development, and on‑site execution while ensuring quality, safety, and client satisfaction. What You Will Do as the Estimator / Project Manager: Lead bid preparation by gathering project requirements and setting priorities. Build accurate project budgets by reviewing plans, specifications, and cost data. Evaluate changes, additions, and site variables to confirm pricing and scope. Source and negotiate vendor and subcontractor pricing; identify materials and qualified subs. Track and report progress and costs to internal stakeholders. Maintain clear documentation and communication across teams. Supervise onsite field staff, including the superintendent and foreperson, to deliver efficient operations. Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and resolve issues. Coordinate schedules, resources, materials, and crews to keep projects on track. Inspect tools, equipment, and vehicles for readiness and safety before shifts. Must‑Haves as the Estimator / Project Manager: 8 or more years of experience in the paving, excavation, and construction industries, with clear estimating exposure. Proven ability to prepare bids and develop project budgets. Strong project management experience with supervisory responsibilities. Excellent communication skills with both internal teams and clients. Valid, unexpired driver’s license. Ability to pass employer‑required drug screening. Nice to Haves as the Estimator / Project Manager: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. Experience with subcontractor sourcing and negotiation.
