Job Details Top Heavy Highway and Paving Contractor. Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year. Position: Senior Project Manager / Estimator (permanent) with a focus on heavy highway construction. Responsibilities Managing the planning and execution of heavy highway construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Developing comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases. Conducting detailed cost estimations and preparing budgets for projects, including labor, materials, and other expenses. Monitoring project progress continuously and producing detailed reports on milestones and deliverables. Communicating proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements. Reviewing proposed changes and updates to contractual agreements with input from legal teams. Negotiating with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure favorable terms for the company. Qualifications A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management and estimation, specifically in civil construction. Proven experience in heavy highway construction. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment. Excellent ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and guide teams effectively. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and team members. Solid problem-solving abilities with a focus on achieving results. Proficiency in project management software tools.
