Project Manager II – Custom Drug Product Projects The Project Manager II is responsible for project management tasks for custom Drug Product (DP) projects that support key clients and internal objectives. Under minimal supervision, this position drives planning, decision‑making, develops implementation strategies and leads efforts for projects. The role works with team members to create and maintain project plans and timelines, which may include budget, definition, scope, supply chain management, financial resource allocation, dependencies, and target dates. This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but will lead cross‑functional internal/external project team activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop project timelines and track contract deliverables. Host project meetings to provide status updates to clients and cross‑functional team members. Communicate effectively with client and across functional groups to clarify schedules and scope. Identify project issues such as resource, technical or scheduling constraints and assist in resolving them internally and with external stakeholders by developing risk assessments, summarized options and proposed solutions with impact statements. Host client visits and evaluate unexpected deviations that may impact deliverables or timelines, taking steps to resolve these issues. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and scope, and conform to predetermined quality standards. Manage customer project according to agreed PM methodologies (processes, tools, templates, meetings, etc.). Proactively facilitate communication and cooperation between customer and project team members. Manage product cost and drive continuous improvement on product level (repeat business). Track and forecast revenue‑generating activities of assigned projects. Participate in business improvement programs and support establishment of common customer experience across global accounts. Collaborate with Sales in building long‑term relationships with customers. Maintain regular and reliable attendance on a full‑time basis as posted. Exhibit professional behavior with internal and external associates reflecting positively on the company and aligning with company policies. Embodies PCI Pharma Services cultural values and aligns daily actions with department goals and company culture. Comply with all PCI policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in life sciences or business discipline preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in Biotech/Pharma or CMO; minimum 2 years in Project Management. Strong computer skills – MS Office (Word, PowerPoint); MS‑Project and/or Smartsheet preferred. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Highly developed interpersonal skills with proven ability to function effectively and tactfully with multiple departments and personnel. Demonstrated leadership, matrix management, problem‑solving, and conflict‑resolution skills. Understanding of biotech or drug product development and multi‑project planning and coordination.
