New England Shutter Mills is seeking a hands‑on Project Manager to support residential and commercial shutter projects from initial customer contact through final installation. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, customer‑focused, comfortable working in the field, and able to manage multiple projects from sale to completion.
The Project Manager will be responsible for meeting with customers, reviewing project needs, taking accurate field measurements, coordinating product orders, scheduling installations, and ensuring each project is completed with a high level of quality and customer satisfaction. Experience in sales, measuring, window treatments, shutters, millwork, construction, or installation is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities Manage shutter projects from initial inquiry through final installation.
Meet with customers to understand needs, explain product options, and support the sales process.
Take accurate field measurements for shutters and related products.
Prepare estimates, proposals, and project information for customer review.
Coordinate with internal staff, vendors, installers, and customers to keep projects moving on schedule.
Review project details for accuracy before orders are placed.
Schedule and oversee installations to ensure quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Communicate clearly with customers regarding timelines, expectations, changes, and follow‑up items.
Troubleshoot field conditions, measurement issues, installation questions, and customer concerns.
Maintain organized project records, notes, measurements, photos, and order details.
Support company growth through strong customer service, repeat business, referrals, and sales follow‑up.
Qualifications Prior project management experience preferred.
Experience with shutters, window treatments, millwork, cabinetry, construction, remodeling, or home improvement is a plus.
Sales experience and comfort working directly with customers is strongly preferred.
Ability to take accurate measurements and understand basic field conditions.
Installation experience or knowledge is a plus, but not required.
Strong communication, organization, and follow‑through skills.
Ability to manage multiple active projects at once.
Professional appearance and customer‑first attitude.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites throughout New England as needed.
