Position Summary

The Project Manager will be assigned to programs and initiatives under the direction of relevant initiative leads. This role is responsible for providing project-level support for key workstreams within complex, direct service programs. The Project Manager will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are effectively planned, executed, monitored, and delivered in alignment with program goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assigned to programs/initiatives under the direction of the relevant leads within each discrete initiative, the Project Manager will be responsible for providing project-level support for key workstreams within complex direct service programs.

Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting all aspects of the project lifecycle for assigned workstreams, including planning, scope definition, design, execution, and delivery.

  • Developing and maintaining templates and tools to track project progress; facilitating the collection of project information and performance measurables; and managing the dissemination of project status updates.

  • Monitoring project progress and the status of deliverables; proactively identifying and escalating issues and risks as needed.

  • Serving as a point of contact for various client departments, city agencies, and contracted vendors.

  • Assisting in planning and conducting trainings, including the development of required training materials.

  • Providing on-site support related to project implementation and ongoing oversight.

  • Providing policy and operational support and guidance, and assisting in the development of strategies to improve service delivery within assigned workstreams.

  • Assisting with the review and approval of invoices and providing recommendations related to budgetary planning and oversight.

Skills and Competencies
  • Ability to work independently and reliably while contributing to and leading change within a collaborative team environment.

  • The position will lead an end-to-end Oracle implementation for nursing administration, including developing clinical and nursing staffing models across all hospitals. Requires strong coordination with HRIS, IT, and nursing leadership. Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.

  • Strong ability to develop and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with a wide range of individuals, groups, and organizations.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor technical and programmatic information to diverse audiences, including administrative leaders, technical stakeholders, and front-line staff.

  • Demonstrated commitment to accuracy, transparency, and accountability in all work products.

  • Keen attention to detail, flexibility, and an enthusiastic, proactive work ethic.

  • Experience managing multiple external contractors and vendors is strongly preferred.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of three (3) years of program or project management experience.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • NYC-area residency preferred.
