A Project Manager is needed for a manufacturing company considered one of the world's leading innovators in materials science in the Pittson, PA area. Experienced Project Manager needed for overseeing fiber optic projects managing teams, developing schedules, and ensuring successful implementation of FTTH projects with expertise in telecom construction and project management.

location: Pittston, Pennsylvania
job type: Contract
salary: $35.52 - 50.36 per hour
work hours: 8am to 4pm
education: Bachelors

responsibilities:
  • Develop project schedules, organize, and communicate timelines.
  • Review drawings and specifications, identifying long lead times and critical path items.
  • Work with Sales, Program Managers, and Deal Management to obtain contracts and purchase orders.
  • Oversee pre-construction site surveys, monitor fiber optic plant construction activities, and visit project sites to evaluate progress.
  • Provide daily reports, communicate with site superintendents, and participate in forecasting meetings.
  • Attend project meetings, communicate with customers, and process invoices.
  • Track material status, update project data in various systems, and create reporting and tracking spreadsheets.
  • Create submittals and purchase orders, assemble close-out documents, and consult with Business Ops for SAP report alignment.
Skills:
  • Read and understand FTTX NDS and CAD designs.
  • Working understanding of fiber optic network architectures.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to handle changing priorities with attention to detail.
  • Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism.
  • Team player with result-oriented and responsive approach.
Education and Experience:
  • BA or BS degree in relevant studies desired.
  • 10+ years of Telecommunications industry experience.
  • 5+ years of OSP telecom construction project management experience.
  • Experience with telecom fiber optic network construction methods and equipment.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
