For Term: Through 6/30/2025. The PO may be extended for a period not to exceed twelve months from the expiration of the State Term Contract contingent upon funding and satisfactory performance.
The Office of Information Technology Services (OITS) is seeking a Project Manager (2. Manager) position. The activities this candidate will be tasked with include, but are not limited to the following:
- Project Planning and Scheduling: Create detailed project plans that outline the scope, resources required, timelines, and milestones. Use project management software to keep track of progress and adjust schedules as needed.
- Resource Management: Allocate team members and technology resources to different tasks and projects based on their skills, experience, and project requirements. Ensure optimal use of resources to meet project goals within budget.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the project budget, including estimating costs for software, hardware, and human resources. Monitor spending to ensure the project remains within budget and make adjustments as necessary.
- Stakeholder Communication: Regularly update stakeholders, including team members, leadership, and external partners, on project progress, challenges, and changes. Use clear and concise communication to manage expectations and keep everyone informed.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks to the project timeline, budget, or quality. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact and prepare contingency plans for critical risks.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality of deliverables, ensuring they meet project specifications and standards. Implement quality assurance practices, such as code reviews, testing protocols, and performance evaluations, to maintain high-quality outputs.
- Change Management: Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and resources efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption. Assess the impact of changes, update project plans accordingly, and communicate changes to all stakeholders.
- Vendor Management: Negotiate with vendors and suppliers for software, hardware, and services. Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of products and services within agreed budgets and specifications.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead the project team, providing guidance, motivation, and support. Foster a collaborative environment, resolve conflicts, and facilitate professional development opportunities for team members.
- Project Closure and Evaluation: Upon project completion, conduct a project closure meeting to gather feedback, document lessons learned, and release project resources. Evaluate project success against initial goals and objectives and prepare a final report for stakeholders.
- Work Location: This position requires on-site presence in our office. Services may be performed at the Department s 2415 N Monroe Street, Tallahassee, Florida location or at other location(s) as agreed to by the parties.
