  • Opportunity for a Project Manager Regional Projects to join the Crown Lands Leasing Team that manage and sustain some of the most iconic and diverse land across NSW.
  • 1 x ongoing opportunity, located in Newcastle, Maitland or Sydney and 1 x temporary full-time opportunity for up to twelve (12) months located in Newcastle, Maitland, Armidale or Tamworth.
  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $139,787 - $145,713 + super + flexible working arrangements

Crown Lands and Public Spaces is currently seeking to appoint a Project Manager Regional Projects to join their Leasing Team within the Land and Asset Management Directorate.

Crown Lands and Public Spaces (Crown Lands) is within the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) and oversees the management of state government assets, including the administration and management of Crown Land Including its parks, reserves, roads, assets, infrastructure and cemeteries.

The Project Manager Regional Projects located in the Leasing Team manages land development, complex commercial leasing and community leasing opportunities and other often specialised land use projects, including marinas, holiday parks and golf courses, to achieve government priorities in the management of Crown land. The Leasing Team utilises contemporary leasing practices having regard for Aboriginal Land Claims and Native Title in a statutory overlaid setting to achieve balanced outcomes with regard to government priorities.

About You

Ideally you are an experienced Project Manager or Senior Leasing Officer with advanced negotiation skills and related project manager experience in a government setting. Your stakeholder engagement and management skills will see you succeed and your ability to mentor and coach the team that supports you will help them to succeed as well.

You are familiar with following and adhering to process and appreciate best practice and standards when it come to the leasing of government property, both community and commercial.

You are able to disseminate complex legislative provisions and recommend appropriate pathways to both management and the Executive.

Youll be tech savvy, with all records and communication being digital. You love variety and are able to appropriately manage competing priorities in a high output environment.

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in land economics or commercial property or at least 5 years equivalent knowledge and proven experience.
  • Current drivers licence and willingness to travel.
