Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager with a strong background in biotech or pharmaceutical manufacturing. The ideal candidate will support new product introductions and facility expansions. A minimum of a bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or management, along with 15 years of relevant experience, is preferred. The candidate must demonstrate hands-on experience managing end-to-end project schedules, coordinating across cross-functional stakeholders, including Process Development, Capital Projects, and Supply Chain. Experience with smart-shade/office construction projects is a plus. Strong communication, organizational, and risk mitigation skills are essential. This role requires full onsite presence in New Albany, OH, with occasional extended hours during peak project phases.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee operations in specific areas of responsibility.
  • Hire, train, supervise, and manage the performance of staff.
  • Review and approve product MPs.
  • Approve process validation protocols and reports for manufacturing processes.
  • Approve Environmental Characterization reports.
  • Approve planned incidents.
  • Represent Quality Assurance on New Product Introduction teams.
  • Lead investigations and plant audits, participate in site audits.
  • Approve change-over completion.
  • Perform the work of a QA Specialist as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Project management skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to complete assignments.
  • Ability to initiate and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Collaboration and communication with higher-level outside resources.
  • Skill, knowledge, and experience with manufacturing and distribution processes, QA, QAL, validation, and process development.
  • Strong communication (both written and oral), facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and interact effectively with various levels.
  • Ability to lead and influence staff outside own organization.
  • Ability to motivate staff and manage and distribute workloads.
  • Ability to manage performance issues and conflict.
  • Ability to provide direction and establish goals for individual staff members and work groups.
  • Ability to evaluate documentation/operations according to company and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ability to interact with regulatory agencies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Science, Engineering, or Management.
  • 15+ years of project management experience in Pharma, Biotech, or Life Science Manufacturing preferred.
  • Previous managerial experience directly managing people and/or leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation of resources.
  • Experience with Smartsheet/office construction projects is a plus.

Work Environment

This position is fully onsite in New Albany, Ohio. Standard work hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional extended hours during peak project phases, potentially up to 10-13 additional hours per week. While not a second shift, hours may occasionally shift, such as starting at 10 AM. The workplace is a brand new, state-of-the-art facility, recognized as one of the most automated in the country, with plans for significant expansion.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. If eligible, the benefits
available for this temporary role may include the following:
