Summary:
The Tennessee Department of Human Services (TDHS) seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead and manage complex technology projects and programs. This role focuses on coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project costs and deliverables, and facilitating vendor and stakeholder collaboration to ensure timely and successful project delivery. The position requires expertise in project management methodologies, government operations, and financial oversight.

Position Info:

  • Title: Project Manager, Sr
  • Client: TN DHS
  • Duration: 7 Months
  • Location: TN Remote work
  • Work Mode: Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Lead project planning, execution, and monitoring across multiple teams and departments.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, program areas, and IT resources to ensure successful implementation.
  • Monitor project budgets, deliverables, and compliance with procurement and fiscal processes.
  • Provide regular progress updates and detailed reports to stakeholders, highlighting risks and outcomes.
  • Facilitate invoice processing, deliverable approvals, and adherence to payment milestones.
  • Explore and implement best practices to improve operational efficiency and scalability.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or PMP/PgMP certification preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale, cross-functional technology projects.
  • Proficient in project management tools (Planview, Microsoft Project, Visio, JIRA, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in procurement and contract lifecycle management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to present technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a focus on operational efficiency and stakeholder engagement.
