Job Description:
  • The Product Launch Engineer (PLE) is a dedicated on-site point of contact for the client program to manage and execute on-site activities related to field test execution, product development, and customer support.
  • They will be part of the AR Product Launch team focused on seamlessly delivering strategic product initiatives to the field.
  • The PLE will support new product launch activities aimed at improving the efficiency and lowering the cost of client's next-generation Fulfillment and Sort Centers.
  • This position assists the Product Launch Manager in coordinating, communicating, managing launch activities and for serving as liaison between site Operations, as well as various internal AR organizations.
  • This role will require the ability to work cross functionally, build relationships, analyze data and capture the voice of the customer.
  • This role provides a unique challenge and opportunity to build systems that benefit millions of customers and support sellers spanning the globe.
  • The ideal candidate will be innovative, hands on, and solutions oriented.
  • Operations Engineer with strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication skills.
  • They will draw upon relevant operations experience, program / project management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, and a passion for creating reliable and maintainable systems.
  • The candidate should be open to new challenges, strong at multi-tasking, detail oriented, creative, and a great team player.
  • The candidate should drive continuous process improvement and collaborate effectively with cross-functional operational and development teams to solve problems and implement new solutions.
Story Behind the Need Business Group & Key Projects
  • Client multiple teams support services is where this person will see (Product launch is Oscar's team) providing onsite support for new tech to be tested
  • Testing is broken into stages fully onsite as the tech is on site and support needed
  • Is system working? Is technology giving a fault? Technically speaking, what is fault? Ask right questions to technicians or give feedback to product team (what did you do? What questions were asked? Etc)
Typical Day in the Role
  • Get to site
  • Testing ongoing not ongoing troubleshoot to make it happen
  • Speak with operations / talk to program team for support
  • If all is working, interact, measure performance, monitor
  • Work on write up regarding productivity and issues etc (weekly)
  • Ext - not at this time
  • Conversion not at this time
  • Hoping for extension; there is a chance
