United Infrastructure is a dynamic and rapidly expanding business, focused on delivering critical infrastructure projects, across the utility and social infrastructure sectors.Our team of highly skilled and hardworking specialists deliver innovative solutions to the complex challenges our clients face.Our company is split into two business areas:Utility Infrastructure –Our team of Utility Infrastructure specialists design, build and maintain critical water, energy (gas), power and telecoms infrastructure, for the UK’s largest network owners and operators.Social Infrastructure -Our team of Social Infrastructure specialists revitalise homes and communities by carrying out a wide range of work, from retrofit to refurbishment, and maintenance.Job DescriptionLead and manage quality assurance and quality control support across all areas of the NZT project including procurement, supplier management, construction delivery, and business services.This role demands solid understand of the following disciplines:Mechanical including; design, welding, non-destructive testing, pressure testing and flange joint tighteningCivils including; excavation and concrete operationsVendor materials – witnessing factory acceptance testingKey ResponsibilitiesManaging all elements of Quality across the Net Zero Teeside (NZT) Project:Ensure that Quality requirements for the project are identified, communicated and monitoredPrepare project specific documentation such as the Quality Management Plan, and Inspection & Test PlanDevelop and implement a Right First Time (R1T) processOversight of quality control staff and output recordsOversight of fabrication and testing (welding, NDT, pressure testing, concrete operations)Oversight of materials controlOversight of subcontractors and vendor materials (e.g. onboarding, factory acceptance testing)Audit construction activities for compliance with the Inspection & Test PlanUndertake internal and external quality audits at all stages of the delivery process including at supply chain audits such as Factory Acceptance Tests.Oversight of Inspection & Test Plan implementation and complianceManagement of non-conformances and corrective actionsCollation of handover records and processing completion with the Client QualificationsQualifications• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor• Member of Chartered Quality Institute (CQI)• Additional qualifications that may assist in undertaking the role such as Welding Inspection are desirable but not essential.Experience• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a quality-based role in the oil and gas industry.• Minimum of 2 years’ management experience• Working knowledge of welding, non-destructive testing, and pressure testing processes• Familiarity producing and managing; Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans and other quality documentation.• Exposure to construction site environments and site coordination practices• Experience with codes of practice for quality such as ISO 9001.• Experience with the NCR process.• Root cause analysis (8D, 5 Why, DMAIC) experience is desirable but not essential. Skills & Behaviours• High level of technical rigour and meticulous attention to detail• Excellent stakeholder communication and influencing skills• Able to prioritise workload and adapt to changing project requirements• Collaborative team player with a proactive, solution-oriented approach• Full UK Driving Licence required
