NHS Lanarkshire is comprised of Acute Services (which currently provide hospital based services over 3 main sites), Corporate & Property & Support Services, North and South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnerships which provide integrated primary healthcare and social care services to local communities and surrounding areas. The Role The postholder will be responsible for operationally managing elements of the project in support of the Project / Programme Manager with overall responsibility for leading the project / programme. Responsibilities will include support, facilitate and monitor progress of the project to ensure project timescales and objectives are being achieved. The postholder will be responsible for provision of training relating to the project. In This Key Role, You Will Be responsible for operationally planning and managing elements of the project in support of the Project / Programme Manager. Be responsible for monitoring the progress of the project through use of appropriate assessment tools, including regular updating of the project plan, to ensure project timescales and objectives are being achieved. Participate as a member of the project steering group providing regular updates on progress of areas of responsibility. Be responsible for planning and delivery of project training and development events to end users in systems and processes relating to the project. Develop policies, procedures and protocols relating to the elements of the project that the postholder is responsible for ensuring effective operation of the project. What You'll Bring Well developed interpersonal skills and ability to apply diplomatic and tactful approach to dealing with project issues. Previous experience of monitoring budgets. A good understanding of the issues, policies and legislation relating to the project. Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software, e.g. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint. From 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 hours to 36 hours. Part-time working hours will be reduced on a pro‑rata basis. A corresponding increase in the hourly rate will apply, ensuring that overall pay remains unchanged.
