A successful residential real estate property management firm is seeking a Property Accountant with experience to perform accounting and financial operations for a portfolio of affordable residential units (Rent Stabilized, HUD, LIHTC). This individual will be part of a cohesive group of professionals that manage this successful and growing organization. Ideal candidates will be intelligent, self-starters that are detail-oriented and have strong time management skills. Responsibilities Oversee all facets of day-to-day accounting and financial reporting. Perform month-end close procedures and prepare monthly reporting packages. Prepare and analyze property-level financial statements for an assigned residential real estate portfolio. Prepare and analyze property level annual budgets. Prepare year-end workpapers for outside accountant's income tax preparation. Assist with special projects as needed. Qualifications BA in Accounting / Finance or relevant discipline. 2+ years of experience with property accounting required. Proficiency with Yardi software a plus. Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment. Be able to multi-task and be a team player. Compensation $70,000 - $80,000 plus bonus, health and wellness benefits (medical, dental and vision plans), 401k match and many other valuable perks.
