Assistant Manager Of Psychiatric TechniciansThe Assistant Manager of Psychiatric Technicians for the NEST oversees the overall management of the NEST therapeutic milieu. Supervises shift supervisors and psychiatric technicians and assumes supervisory function in Manager's absence. Performs client care duties for youth in the program. Assistants the Manager of Psychiatric Technicians in the implementation of Agency and program goals and objectives. The Assistant Manager of Psychiatric Technicians shows dedication and willingness to work alongside the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM) team, supporting and carrying out the functions of the model to best serve the population. The Assistant Manager of Psychiatric Technicians is expected to have a nonjudgmental approach that focuses on skill building and basic principles of behavior modification (reinforcement, extinction, blocking and shaping). The Assistant Manager of Psychiatric Technicians is required to function as part of a team, committing to modeling pro social behavior and building positive relationships with all residents.High school diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred in a related field. Excellent written and verbal skills. Completed mandated training. Has demonstrated ability to care for children and youth in a nurturing and therapeutic manner. Must have strong supervisory skills in managing and motivating the staff. Has demonstrated appropriate implementation of The Children's Village Values: Cultural/Sensitivity/Conflict Resolution/GGI, as presented in the curriculum. Demonstrated ability to develop a therapeutic environment for at-risk youth.
