About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our Behavioral Health Urgent Care team. This role is ideal for a clinician who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment and is passionate about providing immediate, high-quality mental health care.

As a PMHNP, you will play a critical role in stabilizing patients in crisis, conducting psychiatric evaluations, managing medications, and coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and risk evaluations
• Diagnose and treat a range of mental health and substance use disorders
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
• Provide brief therapy, crisis intervention, and stabilization services
• Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and medical providers
• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Coordinate referrals and transitions to appropriate levels of care

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN)
• Active, unrestricted license as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• Minimum 2 years of psychiatric clinical experience, four years’ experience preferred
• Strong diagnostic, clinical, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or related doctoral degree
• Experience in urgent care, crisis response, or emergency psychiatry
• Experience serving diverse and underserved populations
• Bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages)
• Board Certified PMHNP
