Job Opportunity At Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical CenterPosition: Psychiatric TechnicianLocation: Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical CenterWork Type: Full TimeHours Per Week: 36.00Work Schedule: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PMSummary: The Psychiatric Technician will have some training or experience in caring for behavioral health patients. The psychiatric tech must possess a high school diploma and must have BHP training or a minimum of 2 years psych tech experience. MOAB training to include instructor certification (within 90 days of hire). The Psychiatric Technician will be given the opportunity to explore a variety of patient care experiences, including co-facilitating treatment activities, understanding the concept of milieu and working within an inter-disciplinary team. As the Psychiatric Technician gains experience, he/she will be given increased responsibilities in providing patient care. Performs any duties and/or responsibilities assigned by Manager or Supervisor for which qualified.Responsibilities:Delivering excellent patient careAnswering call bells consistentlyPrecepts team member to job functionAdaptability to changeAttends mandatory meetingsSeeks out opportunity for growthDependabilityBeing respectfully to patients, families and co-workersOrganized and finishes work on timeTeamworkCaring behaviorsProtect privacy and confidentialityMaintains a clean work environment to include not eating at the deskMaintaining care of restraintsMaintaining PAR and items in patient support cartCompetencies and Skills:Behaves with Integrity and Builds Trust: Acts consistently in line with the core values, commitments and rules of conduct.
