Licensed Psychiatric TechnicianUnder the general supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Psychiatrist/MD, the Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) assumes direct responsibility for administering or implementing specific therapeutic procedures, techniques, treatments, or medications with the aim of enabling patients/clients to make optimal use of their therapeutic regime, and their residential or inpatient care. The LPT demonstrates the ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner.
