A well-respected healthcare provider with facilities across the United States is seeking to urgently hire a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) who holds an active license in the state of Nebraska for one of the nursing homes there in Waverly, NE.

Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly review patient medical records, including history, current medications, lab results, and any previous psychiatric assessments or interventions.

  • Evaluate the patient's current mental health status, symptoms, and overall condition based on the information in the charts.

  • Determine any changes or adjustments needed to the patient's psychiatric treatment plan, such as medication management, therapy recommendations, or referrals to other providers.

  • Document all chart reviews, assessments, and treatment plan updates in the patient's electronic medical record.

  • Coordinate with the on-site nursing staff and primary care providers to ensure the patient's psychiatric care is aligned and integrated with their overall healthcare.

  • Consult and collaborate with the patient's local psychiatrist or other mental health professionals as needed to provide comprehensive care.

  • Monitor patient progress and outcomes, making further adjustments to the treatment plan as required.

  • Participate in regular chart review meetings or case conferences with the broader care team.

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all relevant healthcare regulations and policies.

Qualifications:

  • At least, 6 months of experience in long-term care,
  • Active NE state license,
  • Board Certified Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner,
  • Experience in Psychiatry (1 year min.), and
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Job type:

  • Full-time
  • Part-Time.

Pay level:

  • Full-time: $150,000 - $200,000
  • Part-time according to the number of days
