Inner Choice Psychotherapy, located in Chicago, Illinois, is a boutique style group practice founded in 2021 by Annabeth Chickering, LCPC, NCC. Inner Choice Psychotherapy specializes in offering relational, culturally-competent care to all humans. The practice recognizes the current need for Jewish clients to have a space where they feel comfortable to explore their identity, including the impact of antisemitism and intergenerational trauma on physical, emotional, and psychological well being.
Inner Choice Psychotherapy is currently looking to hire Illinois licensed (masters or doctoral level), relational, trauma-informed therapists who have the following:
- Belief that developing a secure, non-hierarchical therapeutic attachment with clients is at the core of therapeutic care
- Deep knowledge of Jewish lived experience and history
- Expertise in providing culturally-sensitive, anti-oppressive care to all marginalized groups including Jewish clients.
- Understanding of the intersectionality that can occur between many marginalized identities
- Commitment to exploring the impact of systemic oppression on clients psychological health
- Experience and expertise in: anxiety and depression; identity development, including sexual and gender development; trauma, including childhood and intergenerational trauma
Additionally, expertise in somatic modalities is a plus.
