PT Engineering Technician - Engineering Apply
Job Description Under the direction of the city Engineer or designee, develops and maintains geographic maps containing transportation networks, infrastructure, and environmental resources using computer software programs. Understands the technical process to provide engineering and technical support to City departments and the public. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Utilize computer aided drafting and design software and equipment. Develop and maintain City infrastructure maps including streets, water distribution, wastewater collection, etc. Develop exhibits and construction plans for City infrastructure. Conduct road condition and traffic flow surveys. Work effectively independently and in team environments with minimal supervision. May drive/operate City vehicle/equipment. Perform land surveying and GIS data collection. Other Duties and Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned in support of City operations. Training, Experience, and Other Requirements Three (3) years of college-level coursework under an engineering curriculum, including Computer Aided Drafting and Design (AutoCAD 2016 or higher). Preferred: GIS experience. Candidate shall have good communication, advanced math, science, and engineering skills. Acceptable Experience Four (4) years of experience, which may include construction experience with general knowledge and responsibility of City infrastructure. Any combination of training and experience providing the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties of the position.
