About the Role

Powerback is seeking skilled and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) to join our team on a contract basis across Massachusetts. This opportunity offers guaranteed full-time hours, competitive hourly pay, and the chance to make a meaningful difference in the recovery and well-being of patients in a supportive environment.

As a PTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients restore strength, improve mobility, and enhance overall physical function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.

  • Conduct therapeutic exercises and mobility activities as directed.

  • Observe, record, and report patient progress and responses to treatment.

  • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe mobility techniques.

  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment.

  • Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team to support patient goals.

Qualifications
  • Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) License State of Massachusetts (MA) (Required)

  • Current BLS/CPR Certification (Preferred)

  • Prior experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or acute care settings preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to follow therapeutic plans accurately and work collaboratively within a care team.
