Public Health NurseFranklin County is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Public Health Nurse to join our mission of promoting health, preventing disease, and protecting the well-being of our residents. In this vital role, you'll provide direct care, health education, and outreach to individuals and families across the countymaking a real difference where it matters most. If you're passionate about public service and committed to advancing community health, we welcome you to bring your skills and heart to our team.Compensation: Estimated hiring salary range: $57,928-$59,376 To be determined based on experience and qualifications.Benefits: Franklin County offers a competitive benefits package designed to encourage and support your health, well-being and productivity. Benefit options include medical and dental insurance; elective supplemental insurance options such as short-term disability, vision, and voluntary term life; local government retirement; 401(k) with a 4% employer contribution (no employee match required); generous paid leave that includes 13 county-observed paid holidays per year; an employee wellness program inclusive of a county sponsored gym and an employee assistance program.Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 40-hour workweek with no scheduled evening or weekends.Under direction of the FCHD Director of Nursing, and supervision of the Nursing Supervisor, this position provides direct clinical work within all our local health department programs including Child Health; Family Planning; Maternal Health; Adult Health; Immunizations; STD, Nurse Clinic; and in our Communicable Disease program when needed.Desirable Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Fluency in Spanish/English preferred but not required.Other Information: Possession of a valid North Carolina driver's license upon hire. Must have a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina by the NC Board of Nursing. Required immunizations: Two step TST (skin test), Proof of MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) immunity, Hepatitis B series, Evidence of Tdap vaccine, Evidence of varicella immunity.
