Purchasing Agent | Full‑Time As our Purchasing Agent, you’ll play a vital behind‑the‑scenes role in supporting the daily operations of our community. You’ll ensure departments have the materials, medical supplies, and equipment they need to provide exceptional care. What You’ll Do: Process purchase requisitions and create purchase orders Work hand in hand with our Nursing team to order products according to regular inventory needs Partner with vendors to ensure timely, accurate deliveries Research products, pricing, and supply options to maximize value Maintain appropriate inventory levels for high‑use supplies Inspect and receive shipments for accuracy and quality Oversee our Safety Data Sheet (SDS) program Deliver supplies to departments as needed Communicate purchasing procedures clearly with staff and vendors Identify defective Nursing equipment and coordinate repairs Support safety, infection control, and HIPAA compliance Contribute positively to team meetings and organizational initiatives Your work directly supports our caregivers — and ultimately, the seniors we serve. What You Bring: Associate degree in business or related field preferred At least two years of purchasing experience Healthcare purchasing experience is a plus Strong organizational and computer skills Ability to analyze vendor specifications and compare pricing A collaborative mindset and commitment to professionalism Integrity, reliability, and pride in doing work that matters Physical Requirements: Frequent walking, bending, reaching, and computer work Ability to lift and move items up to 35 lbs regularly (50 lbs occasionally) Ability to push and pull supply carts and equipment If you’re detail‑oriented, proactive, and motivated by supporting a mission of compassionate care, we’d love to meet you.
