Purchasing AnalystThe Purchasing Analyst is primarily responsible for managing all aspects of procurement for products, components, and supplies.Essential SkillsStrong negotiation skills and analytical abilities.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAPKnowledge of purchasing processes, sourcing strategies, contract basics, and supply chain fundamentals.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and build effective relationships with suppliers and internal departments.Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and handle confidential information.Additional Skills & Qualifications24+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or a related role.A degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred.ResponsibilitiesMaintain vendor relationships, evaluating bids and price changes, negotiating contracts and terms, issuing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.Analyze spend data, purchase history, market trends, and supplier pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities, potential risks, and areas for process improvement.Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to assess capabilities, pricing competitiveness, quality, reliability, and compliance with organizational standards.Support contract negotiations by preparing data analysis, cost comparisons, and recommendations for favorable terms, pricing, and service levels.Monitor inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier delivery performance; track key metrics such as on-time delivery, cost variance, and supplier performance.Perform regular audits of purchasing processes, vendor relationships, and transactional data to identify inefficiencies or non-compliance issues.Track and report on procurement KPIs, savings achieved, spend analysis, and compliance; prepare periodic reports for management review.Support continuous improvement initiatives in purchasing processes and automation.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake in the Hills, IL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
