PURCHASING CLERK Kress is looking for a full time Purchasing Clerk to join our team in the development of specialized industrial equipment for steel, construction, and mining industries. The ideal candidate will function as a data-driven liaison between Kress Corporation and our suppliers. The primary goal is to optimize spending and ensure the efficient acquisition of goods and services. Responsibilities Spend Analysis: Reviewing company-wide buying habits to identify cost-reduction opportunities, pricing inconsistencies, and demand consolidation Reporting and Dashboards: Developing monthly KPI reports and dashboards to provide leadership with visibility into spend trends and savings initiatives Process Improvement: Auditing current supply chain workflows and implementing more efficient data-gathering techniques or procurement policies Vendor Management: Maintain a database of approved suppliers, research new vendors, and negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms Order Tracking and Logistics: Monitor the status of orders from placement to delivery, contacting suppliers to expedite shipments or resolve delays Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, up-to-date files of all purchases, contracts, price lists, and supplier performance reports Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; prefer an associate or bachelor\'s degree in business, supply chain management, or logistics 2+ years of experience in Purchasing or Procurement Proficiency in procurement software (ERP systems like INFOR XA, SAP or Oracle), inventory management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel for data analysis) Mastery of Microsoft Excel Precision in data entry and verifying specifications is critical/required Ability to communicate professionally with vendors to secure favorable terms and cost savings Comparing complex bids based on price, quality, and delivery speed to select the best suppliers Kress Benefits Group Health Insurance including Prescriptions Dental Insurance Life Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Paid Vacation Paid Holidays #J-18808-Ljbffr
