1. Sourcing and Purchasing: The overseeing of sourcing and purchasing of medical supplies, equipment, and services.
2. Supplier management: Managing supplier relationships, negotiation contracts, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
3. Inventory Control: Monitoring inventory levels and coordination timely acquisitions to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
4. Cost Management: Optimizing inventory levels, negotiating better contracts, and reducing waste to achieve substantial cost savings. It also involves strategic sourcing, vendor cooperation and standardizing supplies to enhance efficiency and patient safety.
5. Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all procurement activities adhere to legal and ethical standards.
6. Performance Analysis: Analyzing market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and improving procurement practices.
7. Storage and Preservation: Maintaining an uninterrupted supply of materials to department, ensuring efficient operation.

To maintain adequate supplies for hospital and clinic.
Required QualificationsResponsible for researching, ordering, and distributing inventory items for the hospital and clinic. Ensures efficient materials management and maintenance support. Behaves in a manner consistent with EMH’s Mission, Vision, and Values. Performs other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule & Physical DemandsCopy LinkMust be able to work 8-hour shifts.
Required to take on-call duty for maintenance issues outside regular hours.
Must perform effectively under stressful situations.

Full-time status, non-exempt
Purchase hospital, clinic, and special order items.
Procure goods while ensuring maximum value for every dollar spent.
Submit purchase orders electronically, by fax, or by phone.
Follow up on back orders and communicate updates.
Resolve cost discrepancies.
Maintain a cooperative, helpful attitude with all departments.
Restock Med Room and Clean Utilities Room.
Ensure pop machine is stocked.
Maintain and renew vendor contracts.
Assist with Emergency Management duties when time allows.
Respond to requests efficiently and timely.
Report problematic areas to supervisor.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Present a pleasant demeanor and neat appearance.
Support management through communication and teamwork.
Use breaks and meal periods appropriately.
Use time wisely and seek additional tasks when assignments are complete.
Demonstrate computer proficiency for inventory control.
Complete annual Health Stream competencies.
Work carefully and precisely to avoid errors.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Be available for on-call maintenance duties.
Preserve confidentiality of sensitive information.
Wear ID badge at all times; follow dress code and attendance policies.
