Job DescriptionPosition Title: Purchasing ManagerLocation: Geofabrica Inc., Auburn Hills, MichiganEmployment type: Full-time, onsiteOverviewWe are seeking an experienced and strategic Purchasing Manager to oversee the procurement operations within our Auburn Hills organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing sourcing activities, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the efficient supply chain management of materials and services essential to our manufacturing processes. This role requires a deep understanding of ERP systems along with strong skills in procurement management, inventory control, and vendor management. The Purchasing Manager will play a critical role in optimizing costs, maintaining supplier relationships, and supporting overall supply chain efficiency as we transition to manufacturing advanced unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs/drones) serving both commercial and military markets. Experience in small to medium-sized manufacturing or supply chain environments is highly desirable.This position will support a U.S. Department of Defense related program and will require proof of U.S. Citizenship to be eligible for employment.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals and manufacturing needs.Manage sourcing activities, including supplier selection, evaluation, and relationship management.Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors to secure favorable agreements while maintaining quality standards.Oversee procurement processes using ERP system to ensure timely acquisition of materials.Coordinate with internal teams to optimize inventory management and inventory control.Monitor supplier performance and manage vendor relationships to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to forecast material requirements and ensure seamless production flow.Manage logistics, including transportation and delivery schedules, to support efficient supply chain operations.Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards related to procurement and contracts.RequirementsU.S. CitizenshipProven experience in procurement management within a small to medium-sized manufacturing or supply chain environment.Strong knowledge of ERP systems for procurement processes.Expertise in sourcing, contract negotiation, vendor management, and supply chain management.Familiarity with inventory management, inventory control, and logistics operations.Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to establish mutually beneficial supplier relationshipsStrong organizational skills with attention to detail in contract management and procurement documentation.Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration across departments.Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.4+ years purchasing experience.Ability to commute daily to Auburn Hills, Michigan
